With a planned exhibition area exceeding 150,000 square meters, it will showcase the latest technologies, products, and models in the textile and garment industry. The event will gather over 19 intimate apparel industrial clusters from across the country and feature more than 1,200 participating enterprises, with a dedicated brand exhibition zone introduced for the first time.
During the Exhibition, over 50 exciting activities will be held, including the "Tide Rising from the East" opening ceremony and Fashion Show, brand-specific shows, the Intimate Apparel Industry Innovation and Development Conference, the Young Entrepreneurs Forum, an awards ceremony, China Home Fashion Culture Week, China Underwear Culture Festival, business matchmaking sessions, and industrial study tours, setting new records in both scale and content.

Li Fei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shantou Municipal Party Committee, emphasized in his speech that the Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will actively implement the directives of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. They will adhere to the development strategy of "building the city through industry and strengthening the city with industry." By promoting industry through trade and invigorating trade through industry, they aim to achieve balanced development in both commerce and industry, thereby constructing an industrial development framework known as "three new sectors, two special sectors, and one major sector."
As a traditional and distinctive industry in Shantou, the textile and garment sector has adapted to local conditions and formed a cohesive industrial chain. Key projects, such as the Global Textile Procurement Center, Textile Industrial Park, Exhibition and Convention Center, and Industry Headquarters Building—collectively referred to as the "Four Major Projects"—have been fully implemented and are gradually becoming operational. Moreover, new initiatives, including the Advanced Fabric Manufacturing Base, International Digital Trade Hub for Textiles, Smart Cloud Warehouse Center, and Talent Innovation Hub—dubbed the "New Four Major Projects"—will be progressively established. These efforts will help position Shantou as a globally influential hub for the textile and garment industry.
In recent years, Shantou's textile and garment industry has achieved significant breakthroughs in both "exhibition and trade" and "manufacturing," serving as a robust engine for the high-quality development of Shantou's industries. The CTGE plays a crucial role in connecting domestic and international markets with Shantou's textile and garment industrial belt, effectively promoting the alignment of the industrial chain and the enhancement of the value chain.

Lin Yunfeng, President of the China Knitting Industry Association, stated in his speech that the CTGE, as a concentrated showcase of regional industrial strength, has grown in scale, influence, and professionalism over four editions, evolving into a leading specialized event for intimate apparel both domestically and globally. It has not only successfully connected market resources at home and abroad but also played an increasingly vital role in promoting industrial collaborative innovation and leading fashion trends, providing valuable "Chaoshan models" and "Chaoshan wisdom" for the high-quality development of the national textile and apparel industry.

Chairman Weng Chuangjie delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers. He highlighted that with the robust support of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government, along with the Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Government, and the active involvement of enterprises, the CTGE has successfully completed four editions. Over the course of three years, the exhibition has expanded its scale from 30,000 square meters to 130,000 square meters. More than 2,500 distinguished domestic and international textile and garment companies have participated. By pioneering the "exhibition + fashion show + live streaming" model, it has evolved into China's largest specialized exhibition for intimate apparel, and indeed one of the largest globally. The fifth edition of the CTGE will persist in seeking advancements in scale and standards, aiding "Shantou products" in penetrating the core segments of the global industrial chain and crafting a global celebration for the intimate apparel industry.

The Shantou Textile and Garment Industry Association will continue to serve as a bridge, coordinating resources across the industry's upstream and downstream sectors, optimizing exhibition services for participating companies, and further integrating the "exhibition + fashion show + live streaming + trade" model. Focusing on internationalization and professionalization, the association will expand global buyer resources, using exhibitions as a key driver to promote collaborative development within the industrial cluster. This will help Shantou solidify its position as a global hub for intimate apparel manufacturing.

At the meeting, Ma Qingxuan, who is in charge of the CTGE and serves as the executive vice president, provided guests with a detailed introduction to the preparations for this year's exhibition. He highlighted the key features of the event and gave a brief promotion of related activities. Ma Qingxuan stated that the CTGE, recognized as one of the most influential and comprehensive international events in the global intimate apparel industry, has always adhered to the exhibition philosophy of "Chinese Trends, Global Brands."

Building on this foundation, the 5th CTGE introduces the new core theme of "Global Tides Converge," aiming to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the textile and apparel industry. It seeks to deeply explore directions for industry innovation and digital transformation, actively uncover market potential in the new era of consumption, and focus on creating a premier platform that gathers global textile and apparel trade resources, fostering deep integration and efficient collaboration across the entire industry chain. Currently, preparations for the exhibition are steadily progressing.

At the press conference, Executive Vice President Weng Luosan, on behalf of the association, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the French swimwear brand Aulala Paris. This collaboration aims to deepen international cooperation, assist local enterprises in connecting with high-quality overseas channels and design resources, and achieve two-way flow of industrial resources and synergistic brand development between domestic and international markets!

Executive Vice President Huang Hanchu represented the association in launching the "Sail Plan" project for the fifth CTGE, signifying a strategic upgrade for the Chaoshan intimate apparel industry from "single exhibition participation" to "cluster expansion overseas." The initiative aims to integrate cross-border logistics, overseas marketing, and other full-chain services to offer SMEs "one-sTop" overseas expansion support, continuously enhancing the voice and competitiveness of Chinese intimate apparel brands in the international market.

At the event, leaders and distinguished guests ascended the stage together to inaugurate the 5th CTGE, signaling the commencement of a new chapter for the textile and apparel industry in Shantou. The press conference for the 5th CTGE was a resounding success! The event aims to propel the Chaoshan textile and apparel industry onto a broader international stage, thereby promoting the healthy and high-quality development of Guangdong's textile and apparel sector. The exhibition will further seize the opportunities of the era, strengthen the synergy between manufacturing and the market, and enhance the integration of culture, fashion, and branding to create a new global hub for intimate apparel.
